The piece combines two methods of mark making that represent both the story teller and the woman that the story is about. The bike tire creates a wonderful texture breaking up the heavy brush strokes. These brush strokes were created with the intention of fluid motion to represent the grace and strength of the woman featured in the story. Breast cancer is also an important aspect, which is why pink is the only color used in the work, keeping it to a minimalistic style.
